Dean Koontz's Frankenstein:book 1 PRODIGAL SON

This blog is dedicated to the most awesome book i've read. *Grins*

Geez, its over 400+ pages, yet i managed to finish it in a wheez. The most sickening thing i've discovered when i'm halfway through e novel is...i realise i'm reading book 1 of the series. Geez, what can be worst than that. So, i finished it last night, while i was on my way home, and i cant continue with it. Oh great, just how great things goes at times.

If i were to identify my favourite character. I cant narrow down to one. But, i believe it would be Randell six and Roy. Chapters devoted to exploring their thoughts totally captured my attention. It as though i could picture them right infront of me. Its as though i'm them.Being able to experience all that they felt.I guess that's e magic Koontz possess in his novel. Being able to transform rows and rows of words into a clicky moving flick.

Its a pity Roy was murdered halfway through e novel. How can someone, who supposely seems to be e lead, be killed off. A character, which was slowly brought up, injected so much life and content into, be killed off. But at least Randell is still around. Looks like he's gonna be the next lead in book 2. As for Erika 6, its a pity she's gone, cos she been great. Hee, at least she managed to deliver Victor a blow he didnt expect. Haah, forgive him indeed. Since when did the slave had the power to forgive her master.

But, lots of doubts still remains. Like what exactly happpen down there? A mistake so serious that Victor refuse to clear e debris so that he would constantly be reminded of it. Was it that gothy thing that grew out of jornathan?

As for Johnathon, there is nothing but pity for him. As the layers and layers of posters were peeled off, showing pictures and pictures of gods, people, satan. He thought he could find his answer through them. But all was in vain. How desperate he must have been. How deep he must have plunged in. How fustrated he must have been.

With regards to e old race, us and the new race, those created by Victor. Each has their misery. For e new race, though faster, stronger, having the ability to heal faster, but lack the will to die if they wish. Programmed not to kill any of their kind, nor themselves or their killer. Having no emotions. Its really like living hell, isnt it?

Having the ability to feel, to cry
yet couldnt express it out
keeping it under wraps
till it became all numb

Having no ability to feel, to cry
yet yearn to express it too

all that separates it
is nothing but a mere line
yet there is hell lot of difference

Finally managed to get myself in here. Geez, then realising all that i wanted to say was gone before i realise it. Had been in a wild rollercoaster ride e past week. Just cant imagine the kind of moods i'm getting these days. Especially on friday night. Had a couple of drinks and was feeling real real down when i got home. Geez, what's e matter with me this days? Lorraine even commented, why such a sad face? Was i really feeling that sad? *shrugs* i wonder too. But, there are days where i felt real great too. Though i said i was busy or whatever, hmm, cant really recalled. But, with a snap of e fingers and a call from Karen, there i go, off to e town. Met up with some folks who would supposely join in e trip this time round. Well, not a bad feeling, at least e folks seem friendly and easily to gel with.

Picked up Dean Kootz, ermm, dont think that's how his name goes, but..i'm cool..*grins* okok, i've read a book of his ages ago, when i first started reading a decent novel of substance. Covered about 2 chapters of it on e train a while ago, seems pretty intriguing. Well, at least all that i've covered so far, e plot stays right smacked in my head. Is that amazing?

Was having dinner with some of e folks and bin brought along this health-magazine. I never knew it was that interesting. To me, it seems like e last of e kind i'll ever lay my hands on. Yet, then, i could hardly put my hands off it nor kept my eyes away from it. Yup and on sunday, i went to get one myself. Hmm, interesting stuff they have in there.

Had a pretty long talk with XL on saturday, and pretty much amazed myself at what we shared with each other. Sheesh..i guess everyone has their own problems nowadays and its only a matter of whether they wanna show it. Being cheerful or grouchy on e surface doesnt really reflect much on e person's true feelings. One can be real chirpy, yet deep inside, eruptions and chaos.

Its pretty hard isnt it? To smile that hard when it hurts like H*ll inside.

But ultimately, its all boils down to a simple rule. you're e one who made e choice, so never regret, that's e greatest mistake anyone can make. To regret, makes whatever decision you've made furtile, cos you've had unknowingly taken 2 steps back.

Geez, sounding so profound again. Anyway, time for bed. Its great to be in a great mood!1210am...yikes!!!

My body is getting cranky these days. Sheehs..I've been sleeping a solid 8 hours on two of e alternate days, yet i can just doze off there! Was it because of some virus i've got and my body is busily sirening the red alert, thus i ought to sleep wherever i can so that it can direct e energy to battle those intruders? TeH.. TeH.. TeH... intruders alert!!~

Kekeke, a little crappy there.. but really. This body of mine is really getting on my nerves. When will e day where a non-dopey me emerges once again?!

Caught another very nice movie on Tuesday. Hmmm, i really shouldnt be so obstinate on my views on certain things. Some movies, its as though e moment i heard or seen some news on them, my brain started to work on giving some definition to them. Soon after, i seek to reinforce those views. In e end? No, i wont really even think of catching that show. But, if i were to follow suit at times, some pleasant surprises arrives!

Passed by e coastal area today and i saw an island afar. Sort of reminded me of Upper yardo. Geez, its literally an island entirely covered with shrubs, trees and lotsa trees. Then, i turned my head a little more, and there's ships and more ships. Sigh, signs of our modernised world.

Finally, i'm able to embark a little vacation tripsomewhere soon. Though its just crossing over e borders, but i guess a little getaway is enough to thrill me. The thought of experiencing those chilly winds all over again. Wooh Wheeeh!!~

Sometimes, i just find it plain silly. Cos, here i am, yakking away so excitedly, over such a little thing. A thing which others had probably experienced ages ago. Its like you've probably played a rollercoaster way back when you're barely five, yet this person over here is rattling away about his/her first experience now as an adult.

Its not e time it happens that matters
Its who you're with that matters

I wonder how would this trip be like? Back to e same place all over again, yet with a different mix of people. Things are different now and so are people. I know i shouldnt live to say IF ONLY....Blahhh....but, if only i had e chance, i would want to go with Y again and i promise i wouldnt sulk that much. But hey, there isnt that much chances in life for us to do things right e second time. Even if there is, some other things might just sprang up again to spoil it. Who knows, Y might be e one sulking this time round.

Saw Mervin again recently. He's such a charm in term of his looks. Hee, that boyish face, those round big eyes, just like those cute boys found in manga. Yeah, a real pretty boy, but not those handsome ones that made in drop your jaws in awe, but those cute dolly ones. When i saw his picture, i thought he resembles Trigle. Probably if he in that picture and Trigle were to come and stand side by side, the difference would be real great, but hey, somehow, e feeling they both gave me is e same.

Just adopted a new pet today! *Grins*
As usual, i was being real wishy-washy and couldnt make up my mind as to which pet to adopt. Geez, i cant help it if all of them are just soOOOo cute right?

So, there you go, maurfus e oink oink pig have joined the league!!~

I have never denied e fact that e amount of influence a person has on you. Just because of a single person, you could have grown to like/hate certain things and chose to abandon certain things.

Just like how i have grown to like Jay. Is is because i needed somewhere to lean on? To give me that little room of hope and to vent my fustrations? It seems as though i felt better after making myself seems so pathetic. Just what e heck am i doing and waiting for?

I guess my spirits for today and yesterday has been pretty low as i had some time to dwell on past issues. But its going to be monday soon. Let's hope i'll be able to liven my spirits by then.

I ran
I leapt
I thought I have made it
but how foolish I was
cos I'm still at e same spot
dot dot dot

Our purpose in life, where to find it?

Probably its emptiness, that filled a huge part of me, that i want to just go out there, get all of it in me, lose myself in the darkness. Clavion, is like a passerby, whom probably took e same bus as me everyday, one whom i might have noticed once in a while, but never really registered in my mind, nor would i really be bothered to just go up to him one day and asked how his day has been. Probably, if i had bothered to take that step, he wouldnt have left. I cant believed how i have treated some people so lightly.

But, not everyone has e courage to embark on that path. Definitely not a scaredy cat. That cat would at most kept thinking of it, but no actions are carried out. Mel said that one would be handcuffed. Does it matter?? One is gone, no matter what you do, is furtile. So, why am i here doing all this? Does it make any difference? Probably by tomorrow, i'm up and away, ready for my next adventure, laughing and giggling away. Forgetting all about today.

When nothing seems to hurt anymore
is e time that i'm immune to it
it wasnt that it doesnt hurt anymore
its just that i said it doesnt hurt
its not that it really doesnt hurt
its just that e hurt is somewhere
somewhere deep inside e heart
when will e heart stop to hurt
why would i know

my only shelter is myself
e thin crust i form
e only place i can hide

Red doesnt meant fury
Yellow doesnt meant happy
and white definitely doesnt meant pureness
what really matters
is how one define it in their mind

If time can fade memories
then why does it still seems like yesterday
If things can be forgotten that easily
then why does it still remain
