Bleah...guess whats e joke of e day? I'm thinking whether to go down or not? Eventually, told xh i'll be coming down.

Reached suntec and question no. 1 pop into my mind...how come i dont see e signboard for it? Walked on and decided to call her. She said she's at e food court. My heart kinda sighed, but i thought to myself, " Its okie, after all, i initally decided to come alone.. so nevermind, i'll just move on alone..." Then, i came to 4th level and noticed e 6th level was kinda pitch dark. Xh told me over e phone its at hall 6.. Half puzzled, i moved on to take e escalator to level 6. Question no. 2.. hmm, air con's off too? But its only 8 and e exhibition is over for e day? I decided to check out e doors anyway since i'm already here. The signboard shows some other thingy..damn. Conclusion: PC show must be at expo then!! sheesh, i called xh to confirm and told her i wouldnt be going to "food court" to find her after all!

Well, wasnt too disappointed cos i initally wanted to run 2 exhibitions in an hour. But things turned out that i have a full hour for World book fair. Happily went in and realised lotsa chinese books booth. Geez... kinda dampen my spirits a little. Perhaps i should have headed for home after all. Half- heartedly, i strolled on. Then, i spotted what i want. Some english novels going for $3.90. Decided not to choose too long, least losing all interest in getting any book in e end. So, look at a couple and started reading a couple pages here and there. This book.. in a beautifully purple coloured paperback caught my eyes. Patterns of the heart. I glanced through a couple of pages. 1965.. Well, since like quite a nice time frame for a story to develop though i would prefer early 1900s. That's it, i decided to choose no further and buy that book.

Nothing much appeals me after that. Was about to go when i decided to give those chinese section another look, Saw this book on pyschology but its going for 16 bucks. After much consideration, i still felt that i'm not willing to part w the money for that. But in e end, i splurge on a chinese novel which cost 12 bucks. Ermmmm, not much of a difference right? But, i like e way e novel is written. The title?

-别让我一个人撑伞-
Wasnt sure how young i was, that time when i simply loved rainy days
Cos i could put on rain boots
Why would wearing rain boots made me so happy
I have no idea too

Read e first few pages and really really like it. Though i'm couldnt recognise lotsa chinese words, i find reading chinese novels a joy as their sentences are so beautifully structured. Pity half e time, i'm probably guessing e prononciation of e words. Well, if only i has been more diligent in learning chinese in e past, things would be a breeze now.

The other thing was that i picked up some buddhist pamplets. Didnt know that they offer free publications sent directly to our house too. Serves cheapo people like me well. Its a great chance to know more about this religion yet not having to make much effort to sourcing for its materials. The publication is in English, but could imagine how e chinese phrase would be for certain sentences. Such as for

every cause, there's an effect, that's karma

Good deed results in good retribution. Evil deed results in evil retribution. If it is yet to be proven, it is only time hasnt arrive for this to prove itself 善有善报, 恶有恶报。逻无事, 只因时间未到

Time to Zzzzz.....
