Was walking home just now and lotsa thoughts ran through my mind as usual. .
One of it was this topic on happiness..
I read in a book that happiness depends on ourselves, we are the triggering factor and not the environment. No matter what kind of environment, if we choose to face it positively, we could still be as happy as we want. But, why do we often choose the opposite and be gloomy about it. Really, i should just stop complaining and get some action kicking in. But.....i just said that, that's me, always so arrrh...
Went drinking yesterday, thinking that might be great. But, the beer only momentarily made me happier, i guess. Unless i get that brain of me to start thinking for the better, things would still be the same. Often, i thought, if i could get hold of this, i'll be happy. Or if that happens, i'll be happy, but when it really happens, i realise i'm not happy at all. So, it still boils down to the point that its not de events but myself, who is the ultimate determinating factor.
Two songs were on the radio, one is by Jacky Cheung and de other not sure by who though. . now is JAy Chow!
The other thing is that all of a sudden, i realised that friends around me started smoking. I dunno, i'm not really detesting people who smoke, but to me, its kinda shock. Be it social smoker or not, i cant believe they decided to take up a pack. To me, its definitely yucky, cant stand the taste of it in my throat or mouth, even for a minute. The other thing is i rather grab some booze than a pack of that. If its not addiction, i really dont understand why would anyone want to smoke. My friend mentioned about this momentarily "high", but still, it doesnt justify picking up a cigarette. Besides, it aint cheap at all.
